These are the official rules of the Organize to be Heard challenge and are subject to change at the discretion of the Consequence Campaign.
The contests will run from Thursday, October 29, 2009, to February 12, 2010.
Points:
The Organize to Be Heard Challenge will award points for getting a story covered in the media (tv, radio, newspaper), getting a Letter to the Editor printed in the newspaper and generating calls, letters and petitions to Senators that call for a clean energy economy and solutions to global warming.
Story in the News: 50 points
Published Letter to the Editor: 25 points
Post a video: 15 points
Generate one hand-written letter to a Senator: 10 points
Generate one phone call to a Senator: 5 points
Generate one petition signature: 1 point
Rules:
- Points will be tallied weekly and must be reported at http://consequence09.org/challenge/reporting/
- In order to win media points, web-links that are directed to the media hit (the tv spot, newspaper article, letter to the editor, etc) must be included in the weekly report or you can send a hard copy post-marked to:

Washington DC, 20004 - Paid staff of New Partners Consulting LLC, the Partnership Project or the organizations affiliated with the Clean Energy Works campaign and the Consequence campaign are not eligible to participate in the Organize to be Heard Challenge.
- The scoring will run from Saturday through Friday of each week and the top point-getters will be announced at http://consequence09.org/challenge
- Anyone can participate in the Organize to Be Heard Challenge but winners must be over 18 years of age; final decisions on winners will be made by the staff of the Consequence campaign.
- Additional Organize to be Heard Challenge point opportunities may be announced throughout the campaign but are subject to these rules.
- Prizes will be awarded upon completion of challenge activity.
- All decisions on scores, winners and prizes will be made by the staff of the Consequences Campaign and are final.
- Coach class flights and hotel accommodations selected by Consequence campaign are the only expenses covered by the Consequence Campaign.
