No more about the snow. Just no more. As I write this, the president is holding a meeting at the White House with Congressional leaders to talk about jobs. Both Democrats and Republicans are present and we’re monitoring reports to see if clean energy comes up.
For now, here is what else is being written
- Some followup on that report that Exxon is continuing to spend heavily to stop comprehensive legislation. Does anyone more represent Big Oil than Exxon?
- Could this be the last Winter Olympics? Vancouver has had to bring in snow and global warming will make that more common.
- More about the Olympics from the IOC.
- San Francisco will help residents with energy efficient home and business projects.
- Offshore wind energy could be a major contributor to Maryland in the near future.
- Rhode Island is creating plans to enter the clean energy industry.
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will open a climate change office, expanding its focus from short-term weather to long-term climate.
- Some interesting background on the recent SEC ruling requiring companies to disclose the possible effects of climate change to investors.
- Where are clean energy and the need to fight climate change really taking hold? The west coast of course.
- Transportation bills can and will help fight climate change too.
